Two performers, dressed in period wardrobe along with unique sets or green-screen backdrops are utilized to establish the colorful historic theme. Presenters will utilize tall tales, audience participation, music, interesting props, and visual examples during the showcase. The presentation will include a world champion trick roping performance, game show, student participation, and a variety of other exciting show features.  Performers will lead guests through the great plains cattle drive era, into the 1849 Gold Rush, one of the most fascinating periods in United States history.

Roping in Montana

Lewis Events received a request for a trick roping cowboy to perform for a western-themed celebration at an exclusive private resort in Montana.  So when the time arrived, Cowboy Brett flew from Salt Lake City into Bozeman, Montana, picked up a rental car, and began his drive south towards Yellowstone.  He said that as he drove, every mile became more beautiful with lush green pastures and horizons of towering mountain ranges.

Closer . . . Closer . . . and then.

The event location was stunning.  A beautiful alpine setting surrounded by tall pine trees, breathtaking vistas, blue skies, and a gentle breeze. It wasn’t long before the set-up was complete and the crowds began to arrive for a real, old-west picnic and evening of fun.

Guests were greeted by Cowboy Brett in full western gear spinning his trusty trick rope.  As the party progressed, Brett showcased a variety of trick roping stunts with his lasso.  Adults and younger cowpokes were able to get their hands on a genuine trick rope and try their hand at mastering their own roping skills.  Brett brought along his virtual steer and gave everyone a chance to rope the cow with a real, old fashioned lariat.  The day ended with a corral full of new Montana cow folk, ready to hit the cattle drive trail.Trick Roping Near Yellowstone

Trick Roping Under the Monorail

During a beautiful warm summer evening, the wild west came alive under the Monorail at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, as Cowgirl Christy twirled her ropes and cracked her whip for an energetic corporate crowd.  Throughout the evening Christy showcased her roping skills and taught guests how to spin a lariat and rope an ornery virtual cow.

Guests also enjoyed amazing food, lively, foot-stomping music, and regular trips overhead by the  Monorail. By evening’s end, numerous city slickers learned some of the ways of the west.  As the dust settled, it was time for Cowgirl Christy to gallop off into the sunset for yet another adventure.

Party Till the Cows Come Home

Nothing like having a western party in a milking barn.  Our bovine friends were polite, quiet, did not eat too much and had a very positive attitude as long as they got their turn on the milking machine.Lewis Events was proud to be part of a company party held in the Millenial Barn located at the Orange County Fairgrounds.  It’s an ideal location for a western theme party, offering a perfect country atmosphere . . . . cows included.

The guests enjoyed a variety of interesting activities including gold panning, cowboy games, line dancing, trick roping & whip cracking show, virtual calf roping, great food and lively music.

Right in the middle of the party festivities, the cows filed in and in an orderly fashion, took their place at the milking machine.  It wasn’t long before the guests took notice and crowded to see the milking take place.  I must admit this was an interesting first for Lewis Events and definitely added another dimension to the event.

Emily came away from the experience with some new friends.

Hollywood Christmas Parade Trick Roping

Christy and Brett joined up with the Broken Horn Ropers to trick rope in the Hollywood Christmas Parade.  It was a nice mild Southern California evening for a parade.

Christy, Brett and the other ropers had their turn performing on the red carpet in front of the cameras and braodcast stand.

Pre-parade staging the horses and performers.

Southern California rodeo queens and their horses rounded out the large group.  The parade was a great way to start the holiday season.  And as always Santa was the guest of honor.
